The Department of Botany of KAC endeavours to nurture naturalists and inculcate a sense of learning and vigilance in the society. The Botany Department of KAC came into existence in July, 1973 when B.Sc. (H.) Botany and B.Sc. (General) B Group classes were started. Prior to this, there was a Biology Department for instructions for the Pre-Medical course only. Teachers of the Department take care of management of the department acting as teacher-in-charge (Two years of rotation).
